I can totally relate this with @Undisciplined buying No shares for 1.4M SN items and Yes shares for 1.5M items. I can't get his strategy. Is it rocket science that the lower number will have to be Yes to reach to the higher??

I mean if we just don't go by the odds but by just number of teams. Also, I don't just go by Odds but by real time analysis or when the games are happening.

Because only one team is gonna win out of 32, your chances of winning are more than 95% but it's still stupid and you know it.

Yes, I don't understand what's bit their minds! very stupid tbh. Why put 500k sats to get 50k?? I'm not putting my sats on them, not until they're down to 4-5%.

I too, I don't like it either. For some reason I've never ever liked even the analogue watches. I don't know why but sometimes I've been called miser for my minimalist behavior.

I want to consider them like the Delhi IPL team, on whom your description fits completely. Did you see Delhi were cruising at one moment in the IPL and in the end they couldn't even qualify for the playoffs.

Lack of prestige for teachers/professors is definitely a very big reason then.
In case you are aware, Teachers a.k.a. Gurus are given a place even above God in India and there's one big festivals "Guru Purnima" every year when it's reminded to students and parents that "Noone is bigger than the Guru."
I think this cultural/religious association between students and teacher is really helpful in maintaining the prestige.
Does/did American culture have something like this?
It's unfair to blame college professors who don't work with the kids until they've already been brought up through a bad system that didn't teach them fundamentals.
