From the experience here, the fact Elon proceeded this way shows he actually finally understood how to deal with the situation. I was actually awaiting for this exact moment, and I'm thrilled it finally happened. This is the only way out, precisely because of how rigged the system is.
And to this effect, you have a large advantage over us, which is the US law on how a party can be conformed. Starting by the fact a party in the US can not be financed by the state directly, you have a HUGE advantage over us. In Argentina, parties can only be financed by the state directly, and it's forbidden to finance a party through donors. Now project the incentives that unfold from that.
The fact the Libertarian Party is an unreliable monstrosity, far from being an indication of failure, is a proof that this path can work if done properly, for (again, and again, and again), the exact same thing happened here in Argentina: the existing Libertarian Party in Argentina, prior to Milei, was as unreliable as despicable, conformed by the cherry picked worst. So unreliable it was that, despite Milei's best initial attempts, the entire party didn't even made it to the coalition. Milei had to end up resorting to other parties as his political backbone, from which the Libertarian Party was de facto expelled for only being able to cause damage. Then, Milei proceeded to create a new party from the ground up, which is already achieving victories nothing short of notorious for being not even 1 year old yet.
And that's the only way. That's the one and only way to start fighting back the swamp. And Elon is doing exactly that. So believe me, he knows full well what he's doing.
I'll even grant you that the Elon route is the best chance, but our party system is heavily rigged in favor of the two parties and they're able to change the rules whenever a contender begins emerging.
Because Elon isn't particularly ideological he has no significant political following: i.e. there's nothing like the movement Ron Paul had behind him, much less what Milei has.
Our situation also isn't nearly as dire as Argentina's was. People are vaguely disgruntled, but they're still fat and happy, and therefore too docile for revolution.

Again and again, it's the exact same thing here. Hence the reason we were ruled by only two parties for nearly a century. The two bigger players can hide and change election dates, legal presentation dates so that you don't make it to the list, arbitrarily change conditions midway so that you have to start over, and at the very end directly instruct the justice not to allow you to present to elections. They can put the entire media against you. And so on and so forth. And all in between.
Still, Milei is succeeding. An so will Elon. Trust the plan ;)
