You are not a Bitcoin maximalist.
Sounds like you're just getting started. You'll go deeper over time. Just make sure to listen to when someone is trying to teach you something.
You know, if you're hard to teach, there's a word for that. Several, actually. Anyways.
Lesson one: No shitcoins ever. That includes understanding why Bitcoin only, and it includes understanding that the more people who use Bitcoin, the more your Bitcoin is worth too.
