To date, bitcoin has had two kinds of marketplaces, freelance or otherwise:
poorly implemented platforms
over-engineered protocols that produce more landing pages and design documents than they do functional code

I tried one for editing services and it was terrible
I know. I'm surprised no one has done a decent job with one yet.
There might be some fundamental problem with building them though that leads everyone to fail so hard.
