Why do I use Bitcoin?
  • I want to be a part and contribute to the possibly biggest revolution in my lifetime
  • I don't think I'll ever be able to retire using the (mandatory) pension insurance of my country (Germany). I don't see how this can work for the next 30+ years given the demographics. Just two days ago, one of our prime ministers said again he wants to push back retirement age and keep us working longer. Bitcoin gives me hope that I'll be able to retire and not work until I have little to no time left in life.
  • To FUCK THE BANKS, as @DarthCoin would say, haha. Had quite some bad experiences with some. Deducting fees in error from my account without telling me - twice! They thought I finished university and now have to pay for my account: They could have asked if I am finished or at least send me a notice so I can proof to them I am still a student before just deducting fees.
  • I like programming thus programmable money is very interesting to me
Possibly some more reasons but I think that's enough
Update: Maybe another one:
  • So I can possibly tell everyone who I told about Bitcoin but didn't care to listen in 10 years: Told you so, haha
(I hope I will not really do this but stay kind and welcoming when they ever start to get interested)
