Couldn't help myself, bought MSTR today.
1.33B market cap with 2.2B in Bitcoin.
Yes, I know they have 2.4B in debt so enterprise value is roughly 3.7B. I don't think the legacy business is worth 1.5B but it is worth at least 750M. Don't need much Bitcoin upside for this thing to rock.
I 100% guarantee you that buying BTC itself in self custody is going to work out better for you long term.

I do that everyday.

How did you buy it? I want to buy a single stock (of any company) just to get to know the process. Basically to learn about tradfi.
I am not sure if I can buy MSTR in EU however.
reply
You can, of course. The easiest way is probably using the brokerage of your traditional or online bank. ING and Open Bank are both European with access to the NASDAQ and are good options, IMO, and both let you also buy indexes, like the S&P 500 (US) or any European one, which are a little safer than individual stocks, if you just want to have the experience.
reply
Use a brokerage that gives you access to US stocks and you can buy it. Do some research before you buy.

hopefully you did this in a roth retirement account

I thought Bitcoin was my retirement account.

I think that's a good buy for entities that cannot legally have exposure to (buy) Bitcoin. But for a natural person (is that the correct legal term?) buying BTC would be much better and safer, in my opinion.

I do that everyday.

I agree with the rest. You just bought 0.00000000 Bitcoin.
reply
Correct I bought a leveraged call option on Bitcoin.
reply
For what?
