I'm still on pace for the Sound HSA steps challenge for 10k sats.
Finally added a new row for whether I snacked on junk food or not. Now it's two separate questions: Did I eat healthy food today? and Did I eat junk food today? I'm hoping that improves my accountability on both fronts.
How did you all do with your healthy habits today?
Knocked out 100 pushups, felt alright and did them quicker than the previous day.
Will probably aim for 100 pushups a day, didnt go on a run today and thursday - saturday are my busiest days.
I ate a bit better today, had eggs, gochujang salmon with mixed veggies a protien shake nuts throughout the day a coffee and two slices of apple pie. Should probably have another protien shake, and might make some more eggs in a few. 2.5 grams of creatine today.
All in all it was a decent day. Will probably stay up late tonight doing stuff on the computer, waking up early is a struggle but staying up late comes a bit more natural, should try to use that to my advantage.
You could get an overuse injury by spamming push-ups every single day and so you could swap it out with doing 100 squats but try to do them all in one go or doing sets of 20 on single leg Romanian deadlift.
Taking 2 days off of push-ups will allow you to come back stronger and you'll actually go up on your push-ups faster than spamming them every day.
Believe me but I'm happy to see that you're staying fit and sharing your progress.
Well I missed yesterday and today might be a miss as well so it'll be an inadvertent break. Thanks for the support
Do you have to wake up early?
Have to wake up at around 820am Monday-Saturday. Would be cool If I woke up at 630 and cranked out more work or excercised a bit before work. But (at least lately) I've been staying up until about 130am.
Don’t underestimate the value of sleep or your body’s own rhythm.
I've been solid on OMAD and I plan to start yoga again on monday.
That’s great. Even the little stretching I do irregularly feels like it helps.
Had sushi and some burritos haha
Are you aware that sushi burritos exist?
Indeed haha
Did manage some extra sleep and been fasting for almost 24 hours now. Yeah one coffee and one tea, that's all.
Nice
I've got a small round tummy for the first time in my life (just my wife reacted to it!), Otherwise I've an athletic body. Nonetheless I don't wanna extend it further.
Fasting is such a great habit. Even on days when you don’t fast, being accustomed to eating less often reduces your hunger and limits how much you eat.
Thanks. I've never ever given it much importance as being in sports required me some extra calories, as they said. But now at this age, and inspired from you, I'm learning and enjoying it. It seems to as a direct result that I feel more energetic when fasting and not working physically. When I've eaten my body either wants to lay down or move briskly.
BTW broken the fast just now with two choco cookies and a cup of tea.
Did a max set of pushups (61) in the morning, walked maybe around 2 hours in total, had one meal (and some more or less healthy snacks after that), did a max hang (2 min 17 sec; going to a local hanging competition on Saturday), then a short yoga session with 4x33 sets of pushups in between. Very minimal screen time during the day, but spent most of the night behind the computer, my sleep schedule is quite bad. Sleeping thing aside, can be quite satisfied. Should do more yoga/stretching probably though. Also hoping the weather gets warmer again so could get more sun and be barefoot outside... but not expecting much. The Estonian climate is terrible. Definitely missing Australia in that sense...
Hanging is something I could pretty easily add. What are the main benefits?
Google AI Overview:
Hanging (or "dead hanging") provides multiple physical benefits, including improved grip strength, spinal decompression, better posture, increased shoulder mobility and stability, core strength, and a full-body stretch for the back, shoulders, and lats. It's a simple way to strengthen the upper body, reduce pain, and improve overall body function and flexibility.
