Football weekend so I just finished Manchester United vs Manchester City Derby. United won 2 - 1. I believe in the coming months, Bitcoin utility will find itself in sports games, that's if they are not already there.

1879: The U.S. adopts a “classic” gold standard where a standard mass of the shiny metal defines the value of a currency unit. Paper money, then, is not a separate good from gold and is fully convertible. This lasted until WW1. It’s widely considered to be one of the most economically stable periods in American history.

1834: Congress adjusts the silver-to-gold ratio, from 15-1 to 16-1. This makes gold cheaper relative to the world market price ratio. Silver begins to be exported, and by 1850, silver coins all but disappear in the U.S.

What would happen if Congress set the price of Bitcoin?

Whenever I read these tyoe posts I regret living in New York, where fiat is king and stuff like Fold is banned. Got to protect Wall Street banks!

Wow that is nuts! Sorry to hear it is banned. I also have a Gemini credit card. You get 10% back on gas, 3% restaurants, 2% grocery stores, and 1% everything else. I take those rewards in sats and have over 1,000,000 free sats since April!
