I am new, and obviously not getting it. I signed up w my CashApp Wallet. Cool, but I don't think I want BTC going there.
What is the best wallet I can use here, and why isn't it Fold?
Zeus did not work for me.

Ok, I'm not a fan of most of the trolling (i.e. stuff like Aligator Alcatraz), but this is masterful trolling.

I agree. A well-calculated insult is a beautiful thing.

Especially when it's tasteful and not cruel. I think this one is tasteful and not cruel, but it's hard to define where that line is.

oh, mh, it doesn't crash the site but I should maybe still point out in the PRs that the query to find the wallets will fail because the old Prisma client doesn't know about the new protocols 🤔

I've noticed recently that sometimes my dreams are two-dimensional, and look like mobile app UIs or webpage DOMs. Just this morning when I woke up I realised, "that was Stacker News!"
I was struggling with media upload and linking. This is interesting, because not only had I not used SN much in the few days leading up to this appearance, but also, I haven't uploaded media even once.
When I was much younger and began programming, I had a few dreams where I was "thinking in code", although I don't recall visually seeing the terminal or IDE. Has anyone else noticed similar effects?

@siggy47 did you get to solo flights? Or did you stop your training before that?
reply
Before soloing. I have always regretted that. Where I flew you needed to be really good with the radio. I was more intimidated by that than flying. The small airport I flew out of was near the flight paths of two major international airports and two more very busy domestic airports. It got a little hairy.

@justin_shocknet mentioned something similar regarding the radio in #1232908.
I wonder if I'm underestimating handling the radio because of the little experience I have with operating one as a paramedic and I thought it was pretty cool 🤔 But there also weren't many times were I was stressed and had to use it.
reply
Don't let it worry you. Most of the students I hung out with didn't seem to have as much difficulty as me. I think I was over thinking it.

My ex-colleague from my previous school sent me a photo to inform me that my ex-students had made it to the finals of the Spelling Bee this year. One of them was a veteran who had taken part in the Spelling Bee last year. Boy, did I train him hard for the competition. Glad to know that he has maintained his prowess in spelling words.
Another ex-colleague also texted me to say that another ex-student who has been avoiding school for the longest time actually showed up! She even took a photo of him grinning into the camera. I was his form teacher two years ago, so it was heartening to hear that he might be taking small steps to resume his education. I don’t have high hopes, but yes, a flicker of hope has been reignited.
I was happy to learn that my presence matters to these young people at least.
