The suggestion that people who “run knots” (flag disapproval of mempool default policy change) are now also altcoin supporters.
It shows how desperate the core side is.
Luke Dashjr’s actions or character have actually nothing to do with the disagreement of mempool policy change.
The knots client is standing in until we have a new consensus reference implementation.
That's fair. I can see how someone running knots could be unfairly categorized as supporting everything Luke does/says/intends when they merely like having more control over their mempool policy.
I think that's a sign of how out of control this debate has become. I've also seen people who intend to run the latest versions of Core, not necessarily because of mempool policy changes but for security and robustness reasons, get treated like they are pro-spam, pro-csam, pro-non-monetary bitcoin usage.
That's because it's no longer a conversation. It has become a pissing contest. @jb55 just said to someone on nostr "enjoy your shitcoin fork, retard." Come on. I respected this guy for years.
Yep, it has been a pissing contest for a while now. I keep saying this. A lot of these young men just need some years on them. Some though... should know better by now.
Yeah, let the longbeards take over haha
Like I said, there are some that should know better... We live in a time of man-children that have never been punched in the face.
We live in a time of man-children that have never been punched in the face.
lol truer words..!
I just read the second half of your response now. Man, that sums it up. Keyboard tough guys.
yeah I am also guilty of at least thinking like this, but I try to not express it as much, because I know it's wrong to assume
in my mind, Knots/filter supporters (or whatever way I want to mislabel them) are so far away from me and my understanding of how bitcoin works or what it is, that to them and me, it must look like we're just looking at homogenous blobs of people with no nuances
for example, I also don't like what Core is doing in some way, but I don't like what Luke Dashjr is doing so much less, that it might look like I am actually totally agreeing with Core, lol
Right? I'm also not super-happy with developers of seemingly good software engaging like this. I've started to review what software such developers are developing and think twice about using said software. I mean, it's the same brain behind both...
Pues poco se de que vas, si apenas entiendo a que vienes, si ya estás, entonces no hagas bulla porque algunos duermen. ¡Bitconeros lightningüeros, la fiesta es al lado!.
which parts give it away as malevolent?
