Many Lightning enabled platforms will end up hiring influencers and hype marketers to help promote their brand.
The good thing about LN is that it is easy to market.

It's really cool to see KYC places now having lightning because fuckit if you're going to give up your personal details give me something for it, the easier people can onboard into LN the better, and hopefully, some of that capital flows into the P2P market.
I mean if you can buy sats at low fees on spot and sell it on a P2P market for a 10-30% premium you could make bank

Isn't that due to the bit license?

Most probably.
But what in the bit license prohibits this exactly?
They use LN in NY right?

I'm in NY and no sign of lightning on my cash app. I believe everything is a regulatory nightmare in New York. Another example- Swan will no longer open accounts in New York, though existing customers are grandfathered in.
