Did I ever share this on SN? It's the first thing I did after taking the @bitcoinplebdev class. Sadly, it's before I learned the whole @media thing, so it only works on laptop screens that are pretty close to the one that I built it on, but it's kind of fun if you've got the right sized screen and dig the whole TNG aesthetic.

Doh! I knew the LNBITS wallet I had on that demo was shot, but it looks like the next block anticipated time api is now out of date too.

Probably Data or Picard. I like Picard’s calm exasperation.
Yours?

I've always liked Geordi, and his down to earth competence.

this is not a good solution, because we do not want to open an
sqlite database from a daemon and a cli tool concurrently. Instead,
integrate the service functionality in the daemon and call the
  daemon through the cli tool.

Excellent point! You're absolutely right - my proposed solution doesn't
address the concurrent database access issue.

Did it not always do that?

Not to me; I guess I wasn't absolutely right.

Happiness Journal 5/10/25
Brought home two Chinese preparatory books for kindergarteners from the book exchange corner. Was on cloud nine when the son took to the chapter on animals and spent about 30 minutes listening to me speak Chinese and attempted various exercises.
Then, striking while the iron was hot, I went to the local library to borrow two Chinese magazines published in Mainland China for him. One featured pandas while the other featured elephants. Which are animals that have tugged at his heartstrings. Will endeavour to read aloud these feature articles for his benefit. Actually, I’m a bit weary of my country’s educational system and the boundaries it sets to test sixth graders effectively during their middle school entrance exam. Hopefully, these Mainland China magazines will help broaden my perspective!

All this organizations works together in the same direction. Anyway, the Israeli team is not notable for being horrible. Jokes aside, FIFA has for years been making decisions worthy of a state authority. They don't deserve the attention and power they have.

Etymology The word money derives from the Latin word moneta with the meaning "coin" via French monnaie. The Latin word is believed to originate from a temple of Juno, on Capitoline, one of Rome's seven hills. In the ancient world, Juno was often associated with money. The temple of Juno Moneta at Rome was the place where the mint of Ancient Rome was located. The name "Juno" may have derived from the Etruscan goddess Uni and "Moneta" either from the Latin word "monere" (remind, warn, or instruct) or the Greek word "moneres" (alone, unique). In the Western world, a prevalent term for coin-money has been specie, stemming from Latin in specie, meaning "in kind".
