What’s even better is when they insult you and you reply back and they change their response to appear not hostile…atp I just mute them. It’s like talking to a man child.

I have a pretty high threshold for muting people, but I need to get better at disengaging.

I use to do that but at some point I realized those types are not looking to engage they are looking to be right, its "ego tripping at the gates of hell"

You're right about that, but I still want to grant a lot of slack just in case I'm misjudging the person or catching them not at their best.

Friendly reminder that insulting someone you're in an argument with and impugning their motives usually just looks like you don't know how to defend your position and probably means you should think about what they said a bit more.
