Coinbase is reputable. We’re sure they have the bitcoin they say they have.

Since when? Just because they say and maintain an image that they are, doesn't mean they actually are or even if, will stay reputable.

Ultimately it doesn't matter if they have the coin they claim to have though, as long as you're not holding their IOUs. Yes, I am telling everyone to not hold their IOUs!

Ultimately Bitcoin recently survived FTX' paper Bitcoin just fine so the protocol and the network will be fine. The question is: will you be fine?
