On https://gandlaf.com/faucet/anarchy you can find a cashu faucet.

I implemented that faucet in a short hacking session, so it's probably full of bugs and might break. So I thought it would be fun to make a small contest out of it!

Kind of like a bug bounty or vuln bounty.

I give you guys my consent to attack the faucet at the given url above, as well as it's api endpoint at https://anarchy.gandlaf.com

there is a rate limit on the faucet, if you see a too many requests message, try again after a minute or so.

In order to claim the bounty, tell me how you took down the faucet.

If the faucet doesn't get taken down (which i doubt) the bounty goes to the best tries.

to claim the tokens on the faucet, use a cashu wallet:

https://nutstash.app
https://cashu.me

or directly to lnurl:
https://redeem.cashu.me

to learn more about cashu, go to

gandlaf21's bounties

The faucet is broken, some sats are in there and don't get scheduled for distribution it seems. Thanks for testing, i will choose a winner of the 10k by tomorrow, so if you haven't commented your try yet, do it now!

I read a bit about cashu and the Diffie-Hellman key exchange this weekend and was positively surprised by the apparent simplicity!

reply

Bounty goes to @pi ! i thought i could split the bounty among commenters, but i was wrong! so the lucky winner is @pi (randomly chosen)

reply

Thank you, Sir! That's very generous. 🙏

You're not alone with the feeling of being left surprised!

Just started playing with Cashu and chaumian ecash tokens / mints this weekend. Awesome privacy and scaling implications IMHO.
