This is just out of curiosity. I get the feeling most stackers are millennials, but I could be totally wrong, my sample is basically just my memory of people who’ve mentioned their birth years. So I’m inviting all stackers to join in. No ‘nice try, fed’! 😂 Worth remembering that the votes are anonymous, it doesn’t record which option you voted for, only that you voted.

Gen Z (1995-2012)11.9%
Millennial (1980-1994)57.1%
Generation X (1965-1979)21.4%
Baby Boomer (1946-1964)4.8%

Almost fits with exactly our viewership on SNL but higher GEN Z percentage and lower BOOMER & GEN X

Why do zoomers log in to YouTube? We told their parents to not do that. Lol

They live on YouTube. Reminds me of how I loved MTV.

My video-to-text bot also lives on YouTube but it just hammers that site until it concedes that, OK you don't have to log in. Haha

My age is the age of the Mustafar planet...

... but my soul and spirit are younger than Gen Z

You better ask stackers if they know this logo

then you know their age...

reply

Age is just a number, and it often doesn’t reflect your mental age! Winamp was nit, and so is this.

This was the UI of Nero Home (the launcher, not Burning ROM!) that Gen Z experienced! Wonder what Nero's up to these days.

the same bad UI, because let's admit it Burning ROM had a really bad UI

reply

I don’t think it’s that bad. I like simple interfaces without too much fluff, I’d rather have functionality over looks.

90s UI design was so fun

Agreed, sometimes I boot Windows XP on a VM just to re-experience fun UIs. Seems like people didn't move on from Vista design language though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frutiger_Aero

Ehhhh, I'm technically a millennial, but not really. I'm on the line and I relate much more with GenX. I was a latch key kid that drank from the hose. I didn't grow up in millennial culture, I was very much a 90's kid.

Late gen X and early millennials are very similar.
