I can't understand why it's something so clear and visible. In conversations with friends who are still statists, the typical slave comments are the same: "that's why we elect representatives," "freedom is utopia," "If you're rich enough to buy a politician, you can be free." The mind control is so deeply rooted that they genuinely think their actions are forbidden or allowed depending on words written on paper by a politician; it's sad. It's blind obedience, as if they had magical powers. Fear isn't even the main weapon in this case because they obey for the sake of obeying; they don't even reach the point of logical confrontation that would give rise to fear.

Most of people call "the rule of law" any piece of paper like this one

They are referring to rules as laws. But the rules cannot be imposed on anybody else without their consent!
So if there's no signed contract to respect those rules, are literally useless, like a piece of a napkin.

But The Law is totally something else.
The law is something that you cannot violate it.
Example: If I decide to jump from a 10th floor window, "the law" of physics will kill me.
Yes, you as a politician can make infinite rules written on a paper that prohibit me to jump, but you will never stop me dying from that jump, by writing on a piece of paper that I am not allowed to die.

This is as clear as day to those who know freedom; to those who don't, it's an affront. Cognitive dissonance will make the individual defend the lie that enslaves them with every fiber of their being.
