The e-mail login for stacker.news is awkward. It sends a link to my e-mail in order to complete the login. I do this from my laptop. But my e-mail client is on my mobile device. And to login to my e-mail from my laptop I must use a 2FA from a third device, which I may not even have with me.
Other services that use an e-mail as 2FA for login provide a code in an email, (e.g., 6 character string) and then prompt for the code. I prefer that as I can then get the code from my e-mail client on my mobile, and then type it into the browser on my laptop.
Think SN could improve that e-mail login with that? (Or, an option where the e-mail has both a link as well as a code that can be used to login to SN?)
It certainly sounds awkward for your use case.
I think a better solution to this might be to allow multiple login methods for a single account which we already need to do for other reasons. That way if you have a login that's funky for one device, you can use one of the other logins on that device.

That would be sufficient as well, for me.
But I can't be the only one that doesn't have e-mail from the same device as I'm using for accessing SN, maybe down the road re-consider this request.
