Amazing, welcome!

I can't recall having written much of a guide on them. Perhaps a few post complaining about the tech not working + the monetary use of a fake money/pre-paid credit like CC...

= best you can do is spend them via zaps, comments, or post creation -- and then receive real sats back via the rewards pool.
(It was much easier back in the day when SN used actual sats that were withdrawable on Lightning, and I think it's been well communicated that this noncustodial switch was terrible in all respects)

Either way, happy to have you here and glad you find some use from my ranting.

I understand, okay, although yes, I would prefer the actual SATS.

Thank you very much for this answer, my friend.

To be clear, actual sats are still used on Stacker News, in parallel with these credits that are used in lieu of sats when sats can't be used for various reasons.

Not hair splitting.

Bitcoiners who are committed to the protocol and its use and development want to use the protocol, not some shitcoin CCs substitute that was only introduced because of the threat of government crackdown on money transmitter pretext, and to enable newbies to engage until they could learn enough to get a wallet set up.

An attached wallet verifies you have taken the time and effort to match your Bitcoiner rhetoric with meaningful action and are not a big talk no walk hypocrit.

The intention has always been for SNs to be a P2P V4V sats denominated social media network demonstrating these principles of decentralised autonomy.

CCs were always a compromise introduced in the face of government threats...they inherently degrade the P2P sats denominated nature of the platform to the extent that some participants cannot be bothered attaching wallets.
