Change.Org is a website that allows issues to become more discoverable. Unfortunately the spam conversation has not reached the broader Bitcoin community outside of Twitter. There are plebs out there that need to be educated and aware so it's important that we broaden our reach with every possible platform.
Change.org petitions show that there are lots of people that feel a certain way and can be shared across many social platforms.

I have changed my mind on BIP 110. The petition is so heartfelt and so honest and just plain good that I will now be signing at least ten petitions every day until the developers remove the spam from my computer.
