Is the spam coming from CC freebie accounts mostly? To be honest, I am not really noticing them. I don't read every or most posts of course though. Would tweaking the Content filter settings help with this at all?

There's a noticeable amount, and it's almost always freebies.

Is my Comment 1 sat filter what is stopping me seeing them then? (I feel like that is the default?)

good point, but this may filter out content from stackers I'm interested in reading.
