I couldn't confirm the exact chip model from GekkoScience's own page, but I did find something interesting while looking into it.

The KBox mines SHA-256, so it isn't limited to Bitcoin. Kryptex currently lists QUAI-SHA256 as the most profitable coin for this particular miner.

Of course profitability can change quickly, but I hadn't realized a small home SHA-256 miner like this had that many options either. 😄
