The question is now, are there any cashu mints large enough for hackers to target

As they are also centralised fake L2s right

If I was a cashu dev I'd be scouring my source code for vulnerabilities, which I'd hope they already are 😳😳

Bro. What's with your narration tho? Do you really think think that your custodial sats are safer on an LND or CLN instance?

ANY concentration of coin is a bigger target than non-concentration. So, are you running your own pub yet?

reply

Bro, no 😭 I should be, yes good call, I shouldn't throw stones from a glass house

And then you have to secure your own LND. See the problem here? We can all "told you so" about Blockstream and be a bunch of grave dancing bitches, but LND too had bugfixes publicly sitting in an RC for a couple of days (Aug 30 - Sep 2) (significant less time than it took on Elements though) and this problem is wide. It literally touches every serious open source project.

It is also possible for this to happen on Bitcoin Core now, as there's a systematic pattern of bugfixes sitting inside unreleased commits too. I cannot help but feel that we need to think about release processes as a community, and this is not a problem that only applies to the enemies of Justin. It applies to us all.
