I'm not sure if this has been on Stacker News yet (I've been rather busy of late), but I find this interesting. NFTs that merge the NFT's metadata (the verified, unique, ownership which is normally on a blockcahin) AND the image (which is normally elsewhere on a server or IPFS).

Interesting concept - so if I understand, it merges the image itself + the ownership proof into one place on-chain, instead of image on IPFS and pointer on chain? Does this mean the image storage cost is paid once and it lives forever on chain, no need for pinning? How does that handle large images?
