Do you buy this?

Other explanations could be: Netflix has raised prices, introduced ads, and made a fair number of dumb shows/movies.

Do you think SN's openness is causing some to abuse it as some kind of bot playground / training ground?

Pentagon, Lockheed sign F-35 deal for 850 fighter jets

The Pentagon and Lockheed Martin have announced a 10-year agreement for the production of 850 F-35 warplanes. The two sides didn’t specify a value for the deal.

The move “cements [the plane’s] role as the free world’s key front-line fighter for years ahead”, Lockheed President Jim Taiclet said on a call with investors.

F-35s – used extensively in combat during the US-Israeli war on Iran – come in three versions that can cost more than $100m per plane.

“We have fundamentally changed how we stabilize the American defence industrial base to produce at speed and scale,” top acquisition official Michael Duffey said in the Pentagon’s announcement.

The F-35 – a joint project between the United States and a number of allies – is one of the world’s most advanced military aircraft. There are more than 1,375 F-35s around the world.

$41 Trillion DEBT and counting...

This is how war works. Both countries lose. Iran is losing more, which means the US is winning.

Maybe dumb bots/AI's that don't work correctly. AI's are probably smarter though. But I'm not sure :)

this looks like some bot malfunction rather than ai

Question: Has any stacker used slice extension before ( the extension that shows you ads while browsing, and you get sats in exchange)? Can I trust them with my data?

We're going to see the Nathan Fielder doc today. Has anyone seen it? Three hours long seems excessive, but we are fans of his.

Nice thing about CLINK is if your wordpress etc gets pwned, your Lightning node doesn't.

There were nodejs vulns yesterday too, but Pub doesn't serve any public http endpoints by default.

Being a parent is like walking on a bed of nails. You can never quite anticipate the sharp obstacle that threatens to derail your schedule.

The son was grouchy because his baby tooth was about to fall off. Apparently, he was wincing in so much pain that he skipped all meals yesterday. After dismissal (and before my lunch), he asked whether he could visit the school dentist. Apparently, he had sought her help to extract his tooth during recess, but the dentist declined because she needed him to obtain my consent.

So, I escorted him to the dentist. Luckily, I didn’t have an afternoon meeting, so I could just wait for him outside the clinic. I was also impressed by his problem-solving skills. In this era of AI prevalence, I wonder if he would be able to develop the problem-solving competencies required for him to find a job. If this early promise were any indication, I guess I need not worry so much.

reply

Are school dentists a normal thing? I've never heard of that.

reply

common.
but it’s not like the dentist comes to our school every day. she has a roving schedule and rotates her days among several schools. it’s a Ministry of Health initiative. has been like this since I was young

reply

Is it mostly for dental checkups or is she doing procedures like fillings on site?

reply

I think she is qualified to do routine fillings. If the dental work required is beyond her skill level, then she will refer the student to see a specialist at some centralised dental clinic
