Been running a lightning node via Umbrel for about a year as my main setup. I try (as much as possible) to make it a routing node and I've seen more success in the last 2-3 months.
Then, in order to offer an easy way to pay for a few companies I'm involved in, I spun up a BTC Pay server via Lunanode and I'm using the internal node there. I've opened a channel to it and I'm depositing more on-chain, but otherwise, I'm not sure what I should do with it.
Is there an advantage to operating two nodes? Using one for your personal privacy services (connecting to wallets, etc.) and the other for an online shop? How should I balance liquidity between them?
Just looking for any other plebs who have a similar setup and to understand your process!
I wrote an article about running multiple nodes and why. https://darthcoin.substack.com/p/node-liquidity-guide

It might make sense to run two - one legit in your name and one behind tor - you know like nomies use incognito/vpn for ordering lettuce. Or at least just in case.
Depending on your country the later one might not even be illegal because of nullity/negliable. The [your countries version of IRS] might not care about a few bucks in routing reward. It might still be a bureaucratic nightmare before coming to this conclusion. So you can keep it secret in good conscience.

Have all behind tor and have full plausible deniability.
Most channels are recorded on the blockchain (its how the lightning network works).
