Is it all garbage? depends on the art? a temporary path to adoption? spam?
Cheers!
Its a scam, but on Bitcoin. NFTs were always scams. Putting them on Bitcoin doesn't make them not scams. Its just like color coins, RGB, Taro and all the shitcoinery built on Bitcoin. Just because your non-satoshi token has data stored on Bitcoin's timechain, doesn't mean it isn't a shitcoin or a scam.

Total garbage. I do not waste not a single moment with that.

1 BTC = 1 BTC. 1 sat = 1 sat.
Can't see myself ever exchanging 1 satoshi for more than 1 satoshi.

Temporary hype that will get rebranded every cycle to get people to buy anything other than bitcoin, its funny how NFTs last cycle were this anti-bitcoin thing like oh get eth, sol bla bla bla so you can NFT its fun bitcoin is boring, now its all about putting it on bitcoin lol wtf?

There is value in storing a record of ownership on the Bitcoin blockchain. That record can contain non-bitcoin data. All of this is being done by following the rules.. it isn't like some Bitcoin flaw is being exploited. So using this awesome thing, the way it is designed, to do something useful. Put me squarely in the "I like this" category. I feel like people who loudly complain about NFTs and want to change Bitcoin to confirm to their own ideas of how it should work or telling you that you are doing Bitcoin wrong are not doing any favors for the community. That said, I don't care for owning and trading digital art NFTs.

i think there's a valid use case for storing unforgeable versions of important documents on the timechain. if people want to ascribe value to individual sats, that's their prerogative but imo, all this ordinal business is just noise in the long run cause the majority of people will just treat a sat as fungible for another sat
stay humble and stack sats, folks

Since it is "art" the value is VERY subjective but IMO it is all garbage. Its not spam since they are paying the fees but it is still garbage.
