The bounty was for it to be a feature of SN. I'm okay with the UX being a bot and you running the bot and earning the tips, but I want SN to be able to run it if you disappear. Those are the conditions of the bounty, albeit they weren't explicit.
If you FOSS the source code, you'll qualify to receive the full thing. Have you? Otherwise, I'll happily give you a fractional reward. lmk
The amount of sats you've stacked has no effect on trust. It never did, even back then when our WoT model was even more naive. So to the extent that they're implying they gamed trust they are wrong.
They did game the top stackers ranking though which is only a vanity metric and was known by me to be game-able.
It can still be gamed through circular tipping but this type of gaming is no longer free. It'll cost you 10% of the amount you are trying to add to another account's "stacked" metric.
We had someone come along and self-tip 1m sats a few months ago and inadvertently donated 100k sats to the reward pool for the day. I can't find the comment but they followed up with an acknowledgement to the effect of "rekt."
tech5 was one of the earlier ones playing this game. They tipped themselves so many sats that when denominated in msats it wouldn't fit in a 32 bit signed integer so they couldn't be tipped anymore. The DB has overflow detection and effectively "restrained" him. Even I didn't have that many sats back then.
Crazy how the mainstream media focuses on looting and stealing of department stores but looking at a legal brief every morning it’s crazy to see the amount of frauds and scams that are out there. Tons of white collar crimes that steal millions every day yet nothing from the MSM.
There is a 40% increase in violent crime in my area. Its unreal. The only reason i know about it is because i look up the statistics myself. The media wont say a word. Every headline every day since covid sort of ended has been about the conflict in Ukraine, every headline, every day for over a year

I went to a Mets game at Citi Field last night. Post game there were impromptu vendors selling hats, t-shirts, beer, soft drinks, etc to people walking to the subway platforms. This was clearly an unlicensed, underground marketplace. Most of the vendors held up cardboard, handwritten signs saying "Venmo and Zelle accepted here." They all looked pretty rough around the edges, so I never got up the nerve to orange pill them. I'm going to another game in early July. Time to work up my battle plan.
A fellow Mets fan! They have obviously been disappointing so far this season, but they looked good last night. Getting to the games is a hassle, so I usually only go to 3 or 4 a year.
