W.T.F. This is not narcissism, this is just optimism. If every optimist is a psychopath the a big portion of the whole population are psychopaths.
All stock market people are psychopaths. Every environmentalist that protests for climate friendly things does so because he thinks we can still fix climate change - so they are optimists and thus psychopaths. Every business owner who does not close his business right now still has optimism and is thus a psychopath? Wtf are they on about?

If narcissism means having hope for the future I say we embrace the title.

The NY Post was a re-print of the original article published in The Sun. A separate post on SN for that article is here:
Bitcoin fans are 'psychopaths' who 'don't care about others', study shows

Imagine generalizing an entire population based on behavior of a subset.
How many tragedies in history were due to one group of people making generalizations about another group?
SMH.

Personality profiles are fundamentally flawed and have historically been pure voodoo. Read up on the MMPI. The intent of a psychological profile has always been intended to be a diagnostic tool to evaluate a person seeking help. Psychologists love these profile tools because it puts all the effort on the patient to be pigeonholed into a particular pharmacological protocol.
To ask survey participants to evaluate their personal qualities in the context of considering a speculative investment, not only does this color the results of the diagnostic profiling tool but the results are highly predictable regardless of the population.
The only thing this study tells us is there is nothing new under the sun (other than Bitcoin) such there are psychologists for sale that are willing to erode their professional credibility in order to degrade any individual that dare challenge the corrupt central banking fiat money system.

More FUD, the end of the article in The Sun mentions
"We studied only a subset of people interested in crypto who do have these traits," Dr Wang said.
"If you happen to be a Bitcoin or other crypto holder, you may or may not exhibit them."
