Gilliam - always theatrical and dreamlike
Capra - kinda perfect and funny
Kurosawa - he had samurai blood
Miyazaki - the world is more beautiful 'cos of him
Nolan will be my pick. I try to see all his films in theaters where they’re usually pretty spectacular, looking forward to Oppenheimer and what a Christopher Nolan nuclear explosion looks like.
Iñárritu: Just as daring as Cuaron (they come from the same Mexican film scene) but has an artistic flare unmatched right now.
Bardo, The Revenant, Biutiful, Birdman
Nolan: His films are not meant to be watched once. They're made to be revisited, analyzed, and watched again; the joy of his movies is discovering something new each time.
Not sure I can say favorite, but I’ve been enjoying Tarantino movies lately. I really enjoy the tension built in many scenes. Like in Inglorious Bastards and The Hateful Eight.

and, of course, Anderson ;-)
Miyazaki has done so much for animation.
Boy, am I a schmuck, Mel Brooks, MEL BROOKS!
Capra and Miyazaki would be on my top 10 list too.
I'm off to 🎌 to see his last one next month.

Very true, Tenet for example
Coppola, for the Godfather series, (I don't recognize 3), Apocalypse Now, and The Outsiders.
I am looking forward to Megalopolis.
Me too, but he's been disappointing as he's aged. Maybe he's got one more great one in him.
tarantino - cause his movies are raw
Villeneuve: He is the best science fiction director working right now.
Scorsese: A crime film legend.
Taratino: You know his movies for a reason.
Cuaron: One of Mexico's best directors

ETA: why is this tagged Bitcoin? Lol
What else would I tag it
Fair point. There isn’t a more applicable tag. I just found it humorous
George Lucas, obviously, right?
Who?
