Can anyone tell me (politely) what's the best way to buy/get monero XMR outside the usual exchanges? Any P2P solution?
Thanks in advance

you can buy some KYC-free on Bisq
... and also RoboSats

Both of those are examples of doing a "Swap".
You can't use either without first owning bitcoin.
And ironically, for both -- you cannot even buy bitcoin with fiat on them, without first owning bitcoin.

AgoraDesk (which shares listing with its sister site, LocalMonero) has numerous buy/sell methods for trading with fiat.

You also have numerous options for swapping between bitcoin (or other coins) and monero:

Bisq or RoboSats? Never tried either of them with XMR, though.

So how do you do it Mr. @XMRk2 ? I assume that if you have XMR in your username you must know alternative ways... am I wrong?
reply
:) sorry, never bought Monero, I was afraid my username could confuse you

Haha yeah okay.. you definitely just posted this to mess with Darth. That, or you have a death wish.. Or a death star wish? Ugh.. this is what happens when you have Trekkies trying to make Star Wars puns without having ever seen the movies.

There used to be a P2P site for XMR I don't know if it's around anymore though. Also, new users had their funds held for like 72 hours or something like that to prevent chargebacks I guess. Fees were high too if I remember correctly.

I don't know any P2P solution, and I don't know if you meant from fiat, but from crypto Flyp.me should do (no KYC).
