i believe phones with removable batteries have a second smaller battery that ensures the phone dont lose track of time and basic settings when the larger battery is removed. so perhaps going to get more complex devices, which increases cost and carbon footprint to manufacture wink wink nudge nudge...... but its not that big of a deal
