I’ve posted and interacted on many posts that are kind of one-off topics. Generally, I post (and find) them in the Bitcoin sub, probably because that feels like the default sub. I wonder if a “general” sub would be good and useful? Thoughts?
Next sub is probably ~meta for posts like this lol ... But after I deploy booger, I'll begin laying the groundwork for user generated subs and then we don't need to debate this anymore.

I can't wait to be the @DarthCoin of the gardening sub, lasering anybody who dares mention synthetic fertilizers. I will turn everyone into a urine-ponics maximalist! Muahahahaha

I do gardening too. I am building a homesteading citadel.

Cool! Maybe I'll contract out some of the enforcement work to you haha.
I've had a garden for years but I'm not really an expert by any means. I think it's a good sub to have here, there's a lot of overlap between gardening and bitcoin in that both encourage self-sufficiency.

I just looked at the analytics page. This community is great but it's far too small to need either "general" or "off-topic," IMHO. A better strategy would be to create subs that have low minimal overlap with the existing subs.

I was thinking "off topic", then let new subs emerge organically from within that sub.
reply
Yea that would work :)

That's exactly the idea and reasoning that I've brought up every time the "new sub?" topic comes up, although I never called it "off topic".
