They said it has no relation with CBDCs. So there you have it. It's like a confirmation it is all related to CBDCs. Maybe not now yet, but in the near future. They want to see how well it goes first with the banks using it.

They mean you could call it CBDC light but that doesn't seem accurate. I have read it will make direct payments to citizens easier but it isn't a new currency.

Is it petty to hope for the whole system to crash on day 1? I guess that's unrealistic anyway with those top notch bureaucratic tech guys paving the way. Anyone remember the Obamacare web site roll out?
