Fair enough, thanks for your thoughts. I guess what I thought was odd was that I was talking exactly about what the convo was about: private keys, and if you yours on Nostr how you'd need to start over and reestablish reputation.
Regarding web3, it seems odd that that topic or that term is off limits here. Bitcoin is, in fact, a rather web3 protocol...it is decentralized, permissionless, and a user completely owns and controls his or her coins. Bitcoin isn't web, but the other tenets are there. I think I understand what you mean, though. When I read "web3" somewhere, there is a connotation that it's alluding to some blockchain besides Bitcoin.
Nothing is truly off-limits here (sans legitmately illegal content, obviously); some will just be mindful of the Bitcoin-only sentiment the majority of users have here.
Looking at my posts, you'll quickly realize I'm not one of those people. Doesn't mean I'm disrespectful, unless the mudslinging hits me first.
All bets are off at that point.
