If you want non custodial lightning support, then Phoenix or Blixt are best. Blixt has better privacy, whilst Phoenix is ahead on supporting channel splicing and trampoline routes. Both have support for LNURL which is handy.
For on-chain and cold storage I don't like any of the mobile wallets, preferring Sparrow + Bitcoin Core on an old laptop. Used with a hardware signer of course.
If I had to use on chain on mobile, then Bluewallet is solid if used as watch only. Wouldn't trust it with my keys.

For newbs, Blockstream Green has a fantastic UI/UX and both L1/L2 support. Their hardware wallet (Blockstream Jade) pairs directly with it, and is rather inexpensive ($65) for when said stacker can afford it.

Stacking? I used to use mycelium with my keys deleted from the phone. Hardware wallets or metal seed plates are probably your best bet if you're able.

Indeed. For stacking sats medium term. I get it over the long term you probably best use a hardware wallet. Reason I'm asking is because not everyone can afford a hardware wallet. So stack sats for the short to medium term (6 months-2 years) until a hardware wallet is achievable to buy.

Fair, yeah you can make your security as simple or as complex as you want - keeping the keys off the phone means you have got to keep those back ups safe which comes with its own trade offs.

Indeed. Are there ways people store it online like in secret wordsearches perhaps or puzzles that ai wont be able to pick online. I'm thinking it might be a trade off, as you said, for some people to keep their own private keys remembering where the keys are, which is why so many people might invest in spot bitcoin ETF once it is approved.
