Yep. I used to have several "identities", especially separating the online "life" from real physical life, as living man.
I also use 2 identities in real life: public and private. Remember that we have those 2, but few people know how to use them and in which situation - read Living in the private
You can easily create a false identity online named John Barbossa for example and create a false life around it. Use that one in all interactions where you think you could be watched for example, give them false but quite believable story.
Meanwhile live your normal life without being bothered.
Yes, I know some info about my real life I start leak it here, but is OK, is just a transition until I will be ready to reveal more.

I am just a random tourist in real life 🤓 and I read that site before, which helped me to understand what is actually privacy.

Did you find it hard to understand ?
Or was like "aha moment" ?

at first, I was like, what are these, like a foreign language.?!?
But after I watched this movie, I was like, OMG, did we just be scammed from the start?
reply
Yes, I was also very intrigued by what is explained there.
I read that blog twice because my mind didn't snapped very well to all that "language".
Fascinating stuff.

Language is a powerful tool; it trains people unconsciously, and it's generally harder to fool those who speak more than one language; but I'm not saying the Bilinguals are smarter, but it is more accessible for them to gain new information and verify things.
reply
Indeed. Also those who speak more than one have access to its own culture too, kind of automatically. So another strong point in interacting with more people.
I speak fluently 4 languages and understand other 2. My daughter speak fluently 6 and I am freaked out sometimes.
I always think to languages like doors. More keys to these doors you have, more worlds you can open.
reply
agree.! I like to verify things with this tool; if xx people used to do something this way, then xx people also do it the same way, which means maybe that is something I should try.
I see different cultures or people as joint explorers, then I learn what is working and avoid what is clearly not working.
Your daughter is cool.

Exactly. I'm very torn. I want my privacy at times, but sometimes all this subterfuge makes me feel like a coward. I always think about @DarthCoin saying "Fuck the guvs." Sometimes I feel like we give them power by being secretive. We're not doing anything wrong and we're not hurting anyone.

I don't disagree. I say sometimes that's how I feel. You point out the real value of anonymity. Other assholes.

I wonder about people like Matt Odell, the popular podcasters, living life in the open. I'm sure they're targeted. People also assume they have big bags.
reply
I think is quite hard to live like that or you reach a moment when you don't give a fuck anymore.
reply
Probably. Imagine living like Craig Wright knowing so many people hate you.
