Appreciate all the tips. I'll keep using it and see what happens, if anything. Then, if nothing else, I might say, "What's up?" to them and go from there. I normally used Google's podcast app, but why not try one that gives a few sats, maybe? If not, I'll probably revert back just to clear up space on the phone.

Getting off Google's crap is good by itself. IMO the best reason to use Fountain or any of the other new podcast apps is that they use the podcast index so you are outside of Apple's walled garden of podcasts. If you aren't happy with Fountain don't go back to Google. Try AntennaPod. Its free and open source and probably the best all around app on android.
