That would be a nice feature.

Yes, use a wallet that support LN address and send a message to any SN user using LN address.
Like send 10 sats to x@stacker.news with this message

reply

Except SN doesn't show any message in satistics for the entry for that "invoice" that gets created and then paid.

reply

Yes, @k00b maybe you can do something about

reply

We don't support messages with lnurlpay yet. 😢 I'll work on this soon

reply

The feature request here is to add to the log message in satistics the memo that may have been added to a payment sent to [nym]@stacker.news Lightning Address. That requires lnurlpay?

reply

Lightning address uses lnurl-pay. The lightning address "resolves" to a lnurlpay endpoint. It's more or less a human readable lnurl-pay code.

Um, did you put that mailto: at the front of the address or did SN?

Either way, clicking it opens up an email client. Surely there's a way SN can have it compose here on the platform and not even need an external wallet?

reply

I think this is so sick So I can do Ge@stacker.news to replenish my stack on here if i were to ever want to?! so is there a way to also send it from that @ or no?? Either way super cool ui/ux learn something new everyday

reply

Agree

How would tfat work though? 1 sat per msg?

reply

Each person could set up their own limit? :)

reply

yes, check on https://lightningaddress.com/ all the wallet apps that support LN address. Use any of those to send a message to any SN user

reply

We don't support messages with lnurlpay yet. 😢

reply

Would you use DMs if we had them? Who do you want to DM on SN that you can't DM on Twitter?

reply

Here is an option if you're looking to DM node operators: #26250
