Tried to set up a lightning wallet on blue wallet. It says connect to LNDhub. Must you have an existing node address compared to Muun wallet which automatically allows you to set up a lightning wallet without the need to have a node.

Darth you are the MAN!!! the LN wallet guide is absolutely class brother. I had no idea you could run an LDK node from blue wallet! Playing with that right now

BE AWARE: They are still in beta with that LDK. Use it only as experiment for the moment. Read also here https://github.com/BlueWallet/BlueWallet/issues/5157

Not just beta but they have not updated LDK in about a year and it is now running at a version with a known security issue that results in loss of funds by a malicious node.

Roger that brother, thank you for that context

If you are starting out in lightning, I would suggest Phoenix Wallet instead of Bluewallet.

Thanks. I started with Muun which is fairly straightforward right. Did not realize there are different levels of lightning wallets in terms of their usability.

Muun💀
You still can self-custody by using their LDK lol
reply
Do not use their LDK version.

Unstable ? How about Bitkit's LDK, does it reliable enough ?
reply
It's a year old with known security vulnerabilities that result in loss of funds. Bluewallet has abandoned their ldk support as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for letting me know, so Bitkit is the last option ?
I'm looking for mobile LN signer that can open channel to any LSP + uses BIP39 seed
Sadly OBW is no longer maintained, it has potential

There's lots of wallets out there that meet those requirements. Including mutiny which is ldk as well.

Forgot that one, thanks will try it later on
