They posted on their blog about reduced rewards using Paypal Billpay...
But I just paid my rent through the my apartment's portal and got no rewards (just spins which are effectively useless these days). I also tried paying off my Citicard via phone (this worked for me last time they were having issues with Paypal) and I again got no sats back. Is everyone else seeing the same? This pretty much kills the utility of the card for me...

Yep, bullshit company that has no reason to exist that has inherently less room to offer rewards than a non-wrapper company and they ran out of VC money to give their users.

I stopped using them a while ago. The rewards aren't good and it's expensive at $100 USD / year. Better to just buy and keep the BTC with that money.

It seems like the busts part highlights the lower rewards on the blog. I agree this is disappointing.

I thought it was just for paypal, didn't realize they'd be erasing rewards for similar categories (rent, credit cards) not using Paypal's BillPay feature..

Wasn't there a universal 1% back? That's gone now? Now, it's just rotating categories?
reply
I thought it was 1% back, plus the rotating categories and specific vendor deals.

1% back is still there plus categories... it's just that it appears they've gotten rid of rewards for certain types of spend (rent payment, credit cards workarounds even without paypal) :/

sadly just tried to make a student loan payment via phone (Aidvantage)... looks like that's been neutered too 😭😭😭
If they also killed payments for estimated federal taxes I don't think I'll have a reason to continue with this card.
