Exactly. I've done this too. Stored everything in bitcoin and needed to sell to pay for something important. I feel it is still a better store of value than USD for that purpose too.
This is the stay humble part. We need enough savings to get us through emergencies. But sometimes you get hit so hard its not enough. Don't focus on the exchange rate. Focus on making sure you aren't in this situation again, whatever it is. Focus on solutions not your mistakes. We all make them and we all get gut punched some of us more than others.
You should have a seperate emergency fund. Selling SATs, even if in profit, it's not ideal. You will have to stack them back, possibly at higher price.
Ya if btc does eat the monetary premium of...everything else its gonna be like the illusion of selling your house for profit only to have to buy back into that exact same market, but on weeeeed 😅

I doubt Satoshi created Bitcoin so that we horde it until kingdom come. He/she/they created Bitcoin so that people can be liberated and part of that liberation means, spending one's Bitcoin on the essentials. I commend you for spending your sats because its not easy, especially when you know what you're giving up. All you have to do now is get back on your horse and start stacking sats again.
lol hope you got something you really wanted with those sats, eventually we all have to end up spending our bitcoin, if you do it on something really worthwhile you wont have regrets
Not really a mistake, you needed something that's why you sold your sats but you shouldn't have sold everything. There is something called DCA. You should have used that.
