What do you think is the best way for a pc game modder to put up a lightning donation link on his mod page? Lots of modders have paypal links but what is the equivalent if he wanted to recieve to sats and or BTC? is there a super easy solution or do you need to run your own stuff?

Alby has promoted the method where you simply put a ⚡ in front of your Lightning address: ⚡earnbitcoin@stacker.news
This does two things: Firstly, it helps to differentiate it, somewhat, from that being an e-mail address. Secondly, it serves as a marker for the Alby browser plugin to know that is the Lighting address for payments (e.g., when in your Twitter profile, github profile, youtube video description, etc. -- whatever Alby supports).
But that only is useful with a browser that has integrated LN payment support (which is coming in one form or another) or a browser extension, like Alby. So that's pretty much only LN enthusiasts who do that today.
But I can copy / pasta that Lightning address into my wallet (e.g., Bluewallet) and send the tip from that. So it still works for the purpose of enabling me to pay or tip someone without them providing me an invoice.
Or, instead of (or in addition to) a Lightning address, provide a link that leads to a "tipping" page. Alby provides this: https://getalby.com/earnbitcoin
Zebedee has a wallet promoted as being for gamers, and your wallet account has a "gamer tag" (account pseudonym). So maybe that might work well for you as well, as someone who already has Zebedee wallet can send to your gamertag. The gamertag is also your Lightning address, so it is in the format mygamertag@zbd.gg
And that gamertag also has a tipping page. For example, fiatjaf has a Zbd gamertag, so anyone can send a payment or tip to him using this URL: https://zbd.gg/fiatjaf
There's a number of other methods ... e.g., tippin.me, even starbackr, and more.
If you are technical, you might find LightningTip useful. Or instead, maybe:

Thanks!
I forgot about one other one. If it is your own site (or can add a javascript embed), then there's this:

Would be possible to add a ln-address were to forward certain % of every tip?.
Let say you wanna donate donate 25% of every tip that you get to certain project/user. Just add that address and set the %.

It’s possible but if it were actually sent on every 1 sat tip, it’d cost you maybe 5 sats to send your project/user 250 millisats which doesn’t seem great … as it is today, you can take your sn balance and transfer it wherever you want. But I understand it’s be nice if it happened automatically.

I get it, then should be when the tip is below certain amount, maybe just for post instead of comments tips?.
Still could be explored, sharing wealth or funding projects in real time seems a power usage of lightning.

I saw the update to the profile page, and added our logo looking good, I was wondering what about having a section for other v4v apps on your profile like having a field for your foundtain app page like ours here - https://fountain.fm/thebtcmanual
As well as your sphinx cat handle or tribe and your ZBD gamer handle

A links section you mean? Putting them in your bio is not appealing?
reply
Sure I can do that, just thought maybe a link section to promote it/highlight it would be nice

I get it. Something prettier would be nice.

Pulled out Anno 1800 again on monday and the inevitable happened.
My first session "just a quick look into it to see how well it runs on this pc" lasted more than 24 hours, yesterday the whole evening after work and right now it is 4 pm as well.
I hate myself lol

The price for economic freedom for most people has never been lower it seems. Just get some BTC and run a lightning node. Thats it. Unless i am missing something.
