Good job @DarthCoin, I like the way you put it:
Think like a bank, not just be a bank... A. HODL = your "central bank" with most of your stash, your reserve bank, barely moving it, onchain B. CACHE = your "commercial bank" with medium size amounts, for redistributing to HODL and SPEND, onchain and LN, nodes channels etc C. SPEND = your spending pockets, with small amounts, enough to cover your regular spending, LN, with funding source from your "CACHE bank"
This makes a lot of sense.

Mutiny is great. I also like WOS when using Damus

blixt wallet!!!

Please do not recommend a specific wallet app to somebody that you do not know his level of knowledge about using BTC and LN. Blixt is a great wallet but for many noobs could be a struggle to start with. We have people that have no idea what is LN and how it works.

We may have opposing educational philosophy. I happen to find nothing wrong with a "struggle to start with" in learning new things. I philosophically don't believe in dumbing topics down. I think we truly learn from dissonance, uncomfortably, and challenge.
That said, I am also open-minded and will consider your approach.

I know you are a smart guy and can handle very easily a complex app like Blixt. But not all are like you man.

Persistence and perseverance in learning are key to appearing smart later on!

It really depends on your level of knowledge of the bitcoin protocol, dynamics and infrastructure.
Do you mean mobile?
If so, for onchain founds I would suggest Green Wallet by blockstream, just use the simple single-sig wallet amd avoid di 2FA or multisig. Off course remember that a mobile wallet is an hot wallet.
For lightning there are a lot of different solutions too, I will just name some:
  • Phoenix, non custodial and simplifies a lot of the channel backup mechanism
  • Breez, non custodial
  • Blixt, non custodial but a more 'advanced' lightning and onchain wallet
These are pretty solid solutions, there are tons of wallets, just stick with the industry standard and use the most solid and most used.

@rabbitraven is right. Self custodial wallets are a good option.
