Oh fiatjaf has been bearish on lightning for a long time now. This comment is totally consistent with that and his proclivity for saying top of mind inflammatory stuff.

I thought it was a Halloween joke. I know he's outspoken about lightning. Does he object to nostr zaps? Seems like a logical conclusion.

I'd guess he thinks zaps on nostr are irrelevant.
He thinks nostr should be completely independent from bitcoin. I'm paraphrasing, but "any reliance on bitcoin is a failure."
It was Will (and many others) who see it otherwise.

Totally agree. FOSS is an infinite remix.
I think the only reason decentralized social media has never won is because we never had decentralized digital scarcity before.
I don't think what it was just missing Schnorr signatures, websockets, and JSON Objects ... but what do I know. :)
