Importing the xpub should let you view the wallet only without making transactions. Airgapped QR scans are for transactions, not balance look up. Did you import the xpub I to a new selecting xPub/Watch Only Wallet. The you use that for balance checks and scan QRs for transactions. 

Importing xpub is done. 

In Sparrow there's the option for airgapped, when I scan for  the Jade I don't see any balance.

Are the airgapped txt only for multi sig?

To see your balance you have to import the wallet xpub into Sparrow. Otherwise, what you have is a very secure, very excellent seedsigner.
