I found that introducing someone who played a lot of games on their phone to https://zbd.gg/ got them to setup a gamers tag (maxtrotter@zbd.gg) and let them earn sats. After a few days and a few wallet transactions they started the conversation that led to them Installing https://muun.com/ 'cos they understood that the satoshi was not under their control and it was real money. So i guess SN https://stacker.news/ could be used in a similar way - get peeps using lightning before Bitcoin is even mentioned. I'm sure there will be many other routes to adoption.

I think people will use it once stores start having a little lighting symbol at their point of sale. Bitcoin accepted here, or even Strike accepted. That sort of thing. Once they see it everywhere, they will want to try it, if only for the novelty.
Maybe we need some sort of grass-roots on-boarding campaign. I dunno. My 2 sats.

Charaties and volunteerism is the way Bitcoin gets adopted I believe. Firstly, because that's exactly how it went down in El Salvador and secondly because of my thesis on volunteer work's effects on the productivity curve, which in a hard money system causes prices to go down.
So in my opinion, every Bitcoiner who wants to see Bitcoin succeed, should start a community program.

Lack of knowledge about Bitcoin really is a pity. Wallet apps put so much effort into abstraction from technological knowledge. IMO that should be enough for average people if it looks like Paypal and acts like Paypal ... they should just use it like Paypal!
But maybe this was the wrong approach from the Bitcoin community? Should we have pushed for knowledge into the mainstream instead of trying to abstract from it?

If it looks like Paypal and acts like Paypal how is it better? Why not just use Paypal? Now try to explain this to a billion people in a way that makes sense to them :)
The answer is that its almost impossible, and luring in people with NFT, unicorns, borderline ponzis is a more effective approach at first glance. But Bitcoin doesent have these things. It has chosen the hard road more on this later.
