I interpreted their comment as if they also want to create a sub but 3m is too much.

But you don't have to pay 3m sats immediately, you can just try it for a month and see if you ~~get rekt~~ like it, lol

Or maybe they were just commenting on the fact that you can just pay 3m sats once and be done with it :)

Yes. That's what I did. I didn't have a set idea like @grayruby, who built something great before territories existed. I'm just going to let it flow naturally, kind of the way Stacker News let the stackers make their own structure. I'm not too worried about losing sats. I believe in SN long term, and I have a low time preference. I think the value for value sats format will catch on for all subjects, and absorb all the conventional reddits and forums. And I think YOU made a great move working here. Now, move to Texas and get a really big dog who snores loudly.

It's resolved. I think it was my phone. As far as the sub name goes, most other forums name what I envision dogs, cats, and other pets, but there weren't enough characters. We'll see. I'm experimenting. I may change the name when I have the option. Animals is good, but I envisioned more of a pet forum. Maybe I'll eventually change it to pets.
