Recently Relai app (Bitcoin broker app in EU) introduced LN, using Breez SDK and Greenlight.

I personally do not use the app, but I have a friend that want to start using to buy sats. So I was curious if somebody test it with the new LN implementation. I want to hear feedback and review about the experience using it. Will zap the good answers.

Hello, I started using Relai 3 weeks ago, doing some purchases.

I heard LN implementation will roll out publicly in 2024. I didn't know there was a closed beta, thanks to you, I will look more into it how to participate.
Privacy wise, there is no KYC under 1000€/CHF but the credit card payment or IBAN is linked through the app to the BTC address. The down side is that they reuse the same address to buy BTC. Legally they have to keep the IBAN from your profile for 10 years.
Apart from that, the fees are cheap to convert fiat into BTC (1.5-2%) compared to robosats (3-5%).
For new comers it's really easy to start buying bitcoin. The barrier to entry is really low and that's their main focus. After some purchases you could send your on-chain BTC to another more privacy wallet (like Sparrow) or swap on LN, like with coinos or boltz.

I believe it's not rolled out for everyone, still in beta. I think at the time of heigh fees non-custodian lighting wallets on your phone is a disaster, if you don't have your own node like umbrel or others. Also, Coinfinity is already doing lightning, pretty straight forward buying process, your friend can try them.

Anybody from EU are using that app... I don't give a shit where is located Relai. The important is where they operate, which users could send them dirty fiat.
