With Tether LOL. El Salvador from Bitcoin country became the Tether country...
When people will wake the fuck up and see the truth? Tether is a gov controlled tool.
The Bitfinex case:
I personally don’t believe the “official” story that the “hacker couple” are the real “hackers” of Bitfinex. Is all obviously another scam trying to cover up the previous scam, with “Bitfinex was hacked”, so people will not look anymore into the Tether scam.

Imagine they say 10 bitcoins instead of “1 million $usd”,
then next year the price of this program goes up by 500%

you don't get it... is fine.

You are 10 years premature
They want people who can make a million usd right now. this will get easier over time until they cancel the usd terms and change it to something like 1 full coin, at this time it doesn’t make sense for them to require someone to give up 23 coins.
And in the future it will be too easy to give 1mil usd, so this term will change when the time is right

Why Tether, and not just Bitcoin?
reply
It says Bitcoin or Tether.

Potential applicants would need to meet the financial threshold specified by the government, set at $1 million in Bitcoin or USDt. Successful applicants are eligible for a Salvadoran passport.
"Powered by Tether"
Wtf?

Personally I think 1M is a bit steep...
reply
1M is far off the market value.
1M would put it with the likes of the Malta CBI, which is a well-established program. Their nearest competitors by proximity are the caribbean CBIs which are priced in the $100-200K range (roughly), and those are also well-established programs.

The other scheme is you just go live there for 5 years and you get citizenship so there’s that
